I have found working with Alternative approach to be a very positive experience – The staff are very committed to my young person – they are child centred when trying to support him.  They have put safety measures in place to support him in terms of keeping him safe.  They communicate well and provide a good report every week. If there are any issues or concerns, they will always contact the LA. The staff work well with the young person’s family members and all professionals.

I have been working with Alternative Approach for around 6 months, they have worked extremely well with me in ensuring that information is shared and in attending and contributing to multiagency meetings.

The young person in placement is a child with extremely complex and diverse needs where other placements have struggled to meet their needs.

The service manager and the staff have shown commitment, genuine caring, positive management of risk and prioritised this young person’s needs in the most complex of situations.

I would fully recommend this service for any other young person.

As many of you will know, I’ve been working closely with you all now for about 6 months, and in that time I have not just seen good practice, but exceptional practice. Each and every one of you have gone above and beyond to support all of the young people you currently have placed with you, and it’s because of your dedication, compassion and genuine commitment to these young people, that my job has been made so much easier. You are honestly one of the most fantastic staff teams I have ever had the pleasure to work with, and I have no doubt that you will continue to be so! Each and every young person that you work with is seen by yourselves as an individual, with individual needs, values, strengths and difficulties, and I have seen you all consistently adapt to meet these individual needs.
