Experience of working in a family home, healthcare setting, or residential environment is preferred. You must be reliable, adaptable and have an ability to keep calm when met with challenging situations. It is important to be committed to the welfare of the young people as you build strong working relationships with the family, Local Authorities and Health/Social Care professionals so experience of this is preferred as it will be necessary for you to have an understanding of relevant frameworks and legislation relating to the support and care of young people.

This role will be suited to someone who may be already working for an agency and is looking to work with another organisation such as Alternative Approach. This post is ideal for someone who is looking for part-time, flexible hours, which might include evenings, overnight sleep-ins and weekends, with the potential to increase your hours, depending on current requirements.
