Family Support Worker

Immediate start required

• Full Driving License with use of own vehicle.

• DBS needs to be portable/ update service.
• References will also be required upon request.

Alternative Approach is a growing, ambitious provider offering Family Support in Children’s Services.

We are looking for enthusiastic Family Support workers, across Merseyside, who have experience working with children and parents, to join our team.

You will be required to travel to and work within family homes, educational settings, hospitals and other areas, offering the highest standard of support to meet the needs of individuals and families in the following areas: Early Intervention, Mothers & Babies, Family Contact, Emergency Support and Respite.

Experience of working in a family home, healthcare setting, or residential environment is preferred. You must be reliable, adaptable and have an ability to keep calm when met with challenging situations. It is important to be committed to the welfare of the young people as you build strong working relationships with the family, Local Authorities and Health/Social Care professionals so experience of this is preferred as it will be necessary for you to have an understanding of relevant frameworks and legislation relating to the support and care of young people.

This role will be suited to someone who may be already working for an agency and is looking to work with another organisation such as Alternative Approach. You may want to simply top up your working hours along side your current employment which is possible when working for us. This post is ideal for someone who is looking for part-time, flexible hours, which might include evenings, overnight sleep-ins and weekends, with the potential to increase your hours, depending on current requirements.

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: £10.00 per hour

£82.10 per sleep in if available

Job Types: Zero hour contract
